Polaris Nexus LLC (1621 Central Ave, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA), the operator of howtobuy.house (the “Site”), is committed to making the Site accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. Buying a home is for everyone, and so is the information about how to do it.
1. Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility published by the W3C. These guidelines explain how to make web content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with a wide range of abilities.
2. Measures we take
In building and maintaining the Site, we work to: use semantic HTML with a logical heading structure so screen readers can navigate content; maintain sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds; keep the Site navigable by keyboard alone; use descriptive link text rather than bare “click here” phrasing; provide text alternatives for meaningful non-text content; design responsive layouts that support zoom up to 200% and reflow on small screens; respect users’ reduced-motion preferences in animations; and write in plain language, explaining technical mortgage and legal terms when they first appear.
3. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Content is updated frequently, and occasional issues — such as an image lacking an ideal text alternative, or a contrast imperfection in older material — may exist. We treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time project, and we review and improve the Site’s accessibility as content and technology evolve.
4. Compatibility
The Site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile devices, and to be compatible with commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, and speech-recognition software. Very old browsers or technologies may not support all Site features.
5. Third-party content
The Site links to external websites — such as government agencies and official program resources — whose accessibility we do not control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of external websites and encourage you to review their own accessibility statements.
6. Feedback — tell us if something isn’t working
If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of the Site, encounter an accessibility barrier, or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us. Your feedback genuinely helps us improve. Where reasonably possible, we will work to fix reported barriers and, in the meantime, to provide the information you were seeking in an alternative format.
